A busy summer

I can't believe how long it's been since we sent out an update. Summers always manage to get a little crazy, and this one has been just as crazy as the ones in the past. Here's some of what's been keeping us so busy.

Lollypop Farm Gala

Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester just had their 2017 Gala. This year, the gala was a "Fairytail Ball". We were so happy we could create the decor for the event, turning the stage into a castle. All presenters found themselves behind a balloon balustrade atop the castle wall. The clock on the tower was animated, thanks to the work of our friends at CMI AV.

Fast Forward Film Festival at The Memorial Art Gallery

We were invited again to work with the Fast Forward Film Festival to welcome people into one of their events. Everyone entering the Memorial Art Gallery for the event saw this dramatic and sustainable installation featuring more than just balloons. Thanks to Rachel Walsh for applying her floral design skills to this piece. It took things to a whole different level.

Rochester Pride Festival

It wouldn't be summer in Rochester without the Pride Festival. As always, we were proud to work with the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley to add even more color to an already colorful event.

Make: Magazine and Maker Faires around the world

We are huge fans of the maker movement. In the last year, we've participated in four Maker Faires across the US. In a couple of weeks, our giant version of Makey, the Maker Faire robot, will make its first appearance in Japan at the Tokyo Maker Faire.  We are excited about flying there to work with a talented crew of artists. And even more exciting, leading into our trip to Japan, we found a full page image of Makey (along with some of our other work) in Volume 58 of Make: magazine.
