We weren’t even finished setting up our booth when John, from Eventdex at the booth next to us, decided to take a seat in our garden.

We met some wonderful people last week at the Event Planner Expo at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City. This tradeshow was a full day of networking, sharing ideas, and planning parties with event professionals.

Showing off what we have to offer is always a challenge. There's only so much that you can fit in a small tradeshow booth, and a limited time to make it happen. We decided the best option was to turn our booth into a welcoming garden and to invite everyone we spoke with to take a seat under our cherry blossom tree. And to eek out just a little more space to demo what we do, we decorated the front entrance and registration desk at the Metropolitan Pavilion.

The entrance offered us a chance to play with some new balloons and to fill a space with an abstract design. The garden in our booth was created to give everyone a chance to go home with photos. All day long, people were excited to do just that. It's fun to think of how many people went home with an Airigami photo (and branding) on their phones.

Based on the response we've seen in the last week, we'll probably be spending even more time in NYC than we have been.

The balloon garden was a great place for people to take photos all day.
