Green Eggs and Ham with the Rochester City Ballet

Rochester City Ballet: Green Eggs and Ham

Rochester City Ballet: Green Eggs and Ham

Living in Rochester, NY, this is the time of year that we're always looking for fun, family-friendly events that are INDOORS. years ago, we realized there was a shortage of those, so we started creating them. We're doing something a little different this winter. We’re excited about working with the Rochester City Ballet on a new project taking place at the Nazareth College Arts Center February 4-5:

Rochester City Ballet brings artistic director David Palmer's Green Eggs & Ham to the stage for your entire family. You'll laugh at this witty and innovative retelling of the classic Dr. Seuss tale. Plus, narration and sign language interpretation will help open the world of ballet to the youngest of new theatre goers.

After Green Eggs & Ham and a brief intermission, enjoy a short comic ballet featuring the balloon magic of Airigami. The Airigami artists will also be on hand for pre-show activites and fun.

Kelly put it this way:

Crossing artistic disciplines and collaborating with other creatives gives us the opportunity to stretch our imaginations. This will be an interesting experiment for both organizations. The dancers can interact with huge colorful set pieces that are light as a feather, while we can expand our exploration of how audiences and performers can interact with our art.

Yes, that's right. We're creating a stage set for the show, as well as creating some props to be be used in the performance.

Get your tickets for the 2:00pm show on Feb 4 or 5 through the Nazareth box office. Get your tickets for the 11am sensory friendly performance on Feb 4, visit the Rochester City Ballet.
